Insulated System Warm Wall Cavity Rail

Warm Wall Cavity Rail System will be required to meet the requirements of the NHBC for residential properties constructed from timber or light weight steel frame and require a External Wall Insulation System.

The system requirements by NHBC are for a minimum clear drained cavity of 15mm between the insulation board and the sheathing board of the structure.

This design is created by utilising the Knauf Marmorit Cavity Rail system, the creation of the cavity is achieved by packing off the horizontal rails from the substrate, with PVC shims and vertical T-Splines, interlocked in between the rebated insulation.

Knauf Marmorit Warm Cavity Rail systems are supplied in Expanded Polystyrene and Mineral Fibre and can be supplied in a variety of thicknesses to suit the thermal requirements of the project, and is an economic solution to providing a drained cavity system to comply with NHBC and other regulatory requirements.

When used in conjunction with our range of basecoats and render finishes, long lasting external facades can be created, coupled with a choice of selected colours from the Colour Concept range exciting facades can be created.
